March 6, 2013
The interest in Structured Decision Making continues to grow in Canada and the US. In November 2012, Lee Failing was invited to deliver a guest lecture at the US National Conservation Training Centre in West Virginia as part of an advanced training seminar for SDM practitioners. This course, focused on elicitation and facilitation skills, and is one of several SDM courses offered by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. And in February 2013, Dan Ohlson was invited to lecture on "Addressing Climate-Related Uncertainty for Natural Resource Management". This week long course provided participants with a foundation in structured decision making in the context of natural resource management problems addressing climate-related uncertainty.
